The Unit of “Forest Health Information and Procedures” collects and elaborates data  from surveys and other studies from all fields of forest protection und supplies these information via a forest protection information portal and various print media. Further main emphases of the unit are testing and development of novel procedures and tools for pest management, as well as testing of pesticides for usage in forests.
Moreover damage diagnosis is carried out on all woody plants in forests, but also in special crops, like short rotation and Christmas tree plantation, as well as in urban areas.
