Forestry is very much practice-oriented, so the digital paths in education are not yet very developed. The project 2ForT wants to change this circumstance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cCentre Forestier\u201d in Provence, together with the BFW, the German \u201cKuratorium f\u00fcr Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik\u201d, the \u201cSlovenia Forest Service\u201d and the Belgian educational institution \u201cKatholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen\u201d, has set itself the goal of improving the competences of European instructors in forestry education, especially in the field of e-learning. New pedagogical methods should lead to better results and higher satisfaction for both trainers and trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last few years have shown that the topic of blended learning is increasingly coming into focus and that many trainers still have room for improvement. This term refers to a combination of virtual and classical teaching methods, whereby the advantages of modern e-learning concepts are combined with meaningful, non-virtual learning components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improvement throughout Europe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Through the use of innovative approaches, the aim is to improve forestry training throughout Europe. Even an extension to other vocational training is conceivable if the methods and instruments tested in this project can achieve good results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These successes would be, for example, a higher quality of forestry professionals who go to work with even more enthusiasm and passion and work more efficiently and, above all, more safely. In the long run, this will lead to a better adaptation to the needs of the forestry sector with fewer accidents and a higher recognition of forestry workers as they respect sustainable forest management and can explain what it is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
